MWALLT is seeking proposals for its upcoming Fall conference to be hosted by the University of Michigan’s Language Resource Center in Ann Arbor on October 8, 2016. We invite current members, professionals, instructors, and graduate students to participate. Proposals are sought for sessions on topics relating to the teaching of languages and cultures using technology with particular interest in the following topics:

  • Whither goest the Language Center? (What is the role of the Language Center in 21st century language instruction?)
  • Project-based learning through media creation
  • Creating activities that integrate development of linguistic skills with active reflections on culture
  • Back-to-basics: Analog pedagogy for language instruction

The conference will include 3 different presentation formats:

  • Presentation Session (45-60 minutes, lecture/demonstration format)
  • Hands-on Session (60 minutes, computer-lab format)
  • Lightning talks: 3-5 minute presentations on teaching language, culture and(or) technology integration in specific courses/classes.

The proposal deadline has passed. We look forward to seeing you at Michigan in October!
